    Swansea Reunion 2010 [Saturday Jun 26, 2010 - Saturday Jun 26, 2010]
    Anyone from the good ole Swansea days is invited, particularly those who graduated from Swansea Public School in the 60's, 70's and early 80's. You are welcome to bring your spouse or significant other. DATE: Saturday June 26th. starting at 7 PM WHERE: The Swansea Legion at 72 Durie Street in Swansea. For those who are not familiar with the Legion, it is located at the northwest corner of Durie Street and Deforest Avenue.  Tickets are $15 in advance and $17 at the door.  A light buffet is being provided between 7-9 pm.     Humberside C.I. Hoopla [Thursday Jun 03, 2010]
    Humberside Collegiate Institute[/b] at 280 Quebec Ave. will be hosting an Open House on Thursday, June 3 from 6-9 p.m.  The event will highlight the work of Humberside students produced in the course of their studies this past year.  It will be a gigantic, school-wide show and share with contributions from various departments featuring food, music, art, theatre, poetry, science, cafes, activities, games and so much more! Special guests include the Junction Historical Society's Spring Fling, featuring Isaias Garcia and Humberside Actors.  A Plant Exchange will also take place.  So clean up your garden and bring in a piece of it to share with fellow gardeners in exchange for a piece of their paradise.  Please join us for an evening of community sharing and building.  Help support our school with a $2 admission fee.  [b]It will be a Hoopla time for all!  For more information please contact mailto:humbersidehoopla@yahoo.com or call 416-393-0000.

    Art Show and Sale - 13th annual [Saturday Apr 10, 2010]
    ART FOR GOODNESS' SAKE ! You can purchase fine quality Canadian art at reasonable prices, meet the artists, and do it all for a good cause. We support 25 community charities helping such groups as the homeless, women's shelters, health organizations, a hospice, and youth organizations. The 13th annual Art Show and Sale will be held on Sat April 10,2010 at Kingsway-Lambton Church, 85 The Kingsway at Prince Edward Drive from 10 am to 4 pm. Admission is $10 at the door and your ticket is entered into into a draw for an original oil on board [8 X 10], "Illuminated Interior" by local artist Ciba Karisik.     Earth Hour Candlelight Walks [Saturday Mar 27, 2010]
    Annual Earth Hour Candlelight Walks Saturday, March 27th Bloor West Village staring at Alex Ling Fountain (Jane and Bloor) The Junction starting at the Junction Train Station Platform (Dundas and Pacific) Roncesvalles staring at Grafton Park (Grafton Street and Roncesvalles) Pre-walk festivites start at each location at 7:30 p.m., come for the entertainment, information about environmental initiatives and refreshments. Bring your own candle or Lantern made at our Lantern Making on Saturday, March 20th.  Walks begin at 8:30 p.m. After the the walks please support the local businesses participating in Earth Hour.
